Well done Lewis for writing such an amazing poem.
This term we are sharing the story ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. We are going to find out more about lighthouses, dangers of the sea as well as people who help us.
We will link our writing to this topic, concentrating on using capital letters and full stops correctly as well as beginning to write in paragraphs. We will also be practising our handwriting and trying hard to spell common, key words correctly.
When reading we will be focusing on fluency, expression and understanding. We will also be looking for key words and examples of punctuation.
Following assessments in mathematics, the children will be revising addition and subtraction facts to 20 and above, as well as doubles and near doubles. Some children will also begin to practise their times tables. All the children will be investigating the properties of 3d shapes.
Reading books will be coming home starting this Monday and homework will start this Friday.

It really depends on the length of the story. The children will be getting new books on Monday.
